Privacy notice

In short: we only ask for what we need to reply. If you ask for help with a property matter, we pass your request to our partner real estate company, because they handle the case. We use no cookies, and you can ask us to delete your data at any time.

This is an English translation of our Hungarian privacy notice. If the two versions differ, the Hungarian version applies.

1. Who handles your data

  • Data controller: Amity and Co L.L.C-FZ (limited liability company)
  • Registered office: Meydan Grandstand, 6th floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
  • Licence number: 2532998.01
  • Email: hello@dubajotthon.hu

This notice follows the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and Hungarian Act CXII of 2011 on informational self-determination (Infotv.).

2. What data we handle, and why

Contact form

Filling in the form is voluntary. We use your data to reply to you, to talk through what you asked, and, if you ask for help with a property matter, to pass it to our partner real estate company.

  • Name: so we know who we are writing to.
  • Contact details (email address or WhatsApp number): so we can reply.
  • Goal (for example your own home, investment, relocation): so we start with the right topic.
  • Message: what you choose to write. This is optional.

Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which you give with the checkbox at the bottom of the form. The same applies if you write to hello@dubajotthon.hu directly.

Retention: until your request is closed, but for no more than 1 year. If you ask, we delete it sooner.

Visitor statistics

We measure how many people view each page. For this we use Umami, an open-source tool, on our own server (stats.dubajotthon.hu). Umami uses no cookies and does not identify you personally.

What it records: the page viewed, the page you came from, the browser, the operating system, the device type and the country. It also records that you sent the form, but not what the form contained.

Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). We want to know what is useful on the site and what is not.

Serving the site

The site is served by Cloudflare. Every request creates technical data (IP address, time, browser). Cloudflare uses this to keep the site secure and fast.

Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).

Cookies

The site uses no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. No Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no ad tracking.

3. Who has access to your data (processors)

  • FormSubmit (formsubmit.co): forwards the form content to us by email. Name, contact details, goal, message.
  • Lark (Larksuite): the email system in which we receive and answer messages. Name, contact details, goal, message.
  • Cloudflare, Inc.: hosting and delivery. IP address, browser data, technical logs.

Partner real estate company

Dubajotthon works as a referral partner: property matters are handled by a licensed real estate brokerage in Dubai. If you ask for help with a property matter, we pass your name, contact details, goal and message to them so they can contact you. From then on they also handle your data, under their own privacy rules.

Legal basis: your consent, which you give with the checkbox at the bottom of the form. If you ask, we tell you the partner company's name and contact details.

We do not share your data with anyone else, unless the law requires it, for example at the request of an authority.

4. Data outside the European Union

FormSubmit and Cloudflare operate in the United States, Lark's servers may also be outside the EU, and we and our partner real estate company operate in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Cloudflare takes part in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. In the other cases the transfer is based on your explicit consent (GDPR Article 49(1)(a)), which you give with the same checkbox.

5. Your rights

  • Access: you can ask what data we hold about you (GDPR Article 15).
  • Rectification: you can ask us to correct inaccurate data (Article 16).
  • Erasure: you can ask us to delete your data (Article 17).
  • Restriction: you can ask us to stop using it for a time (Article 18).
  • Portability: you can ask for your data in a machine-readable format (Article 20).
  • Objection: you can object to processing based on legitimate interest (Article 21).
  • Withdrawal: you can withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect processing before the withdrawal.

For any of this, one email to hello@dubajotthon.hu is enough. We reply within one month at the latest.

6. If you have a complaint

Write to us first; we may be able to sort it out quickly. You can also complain to the Hungarian data protection authority:

  • Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH)
  • Address: 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9-11, Hungary
  • Phone: +36 1 391 1400
  • Email: ugyfelszolgalat@naih.hu
  • Website: www.naih.hu

You can also go to court.

7. How we protect your data

  • The site is only available over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
  • The form uses a hidden field to filter out spam bots.
  • Only we can access your messages, and for property matters, the partner real estate company.

8. If this notice changes

If we change it, we publish the new version on this page, together with the date it takes effect.
